Our football coaching programme enables kids to learn the skills of the game in a fun, safe environment. We teach kids to play with competence and flair!

Little Dragons

Little Dragons has been designed for the natural physical progression of children aged 2.5 to 4 years old and is an exceptional way for parents to be involved in their child’s development, in a safe and fun environment.

Our classes are created to embrace the needs of our students and to appeal to their energetic side through running, jumping, kicking, throwing, catching, hoping and special exercises to enhance balance, freedom of movement and body awareness. Infants will learn to participate in a group and respond to directions while developing confidence and self-esteem.

The aim of our program is for students to develop positive attitudes towards physical activity and sports while enjoying the pure pleasure of movement.

**A parent or guardian is expected to participate and to give individual attention to their own child, which will allow for that quality one on one time that we all crave.

Junior and Senior Program's

PLEASE NOTE:  Children that attend the once a week program must train on Fridays, unless specifically discussed with Greg. The reason for this is that if as a club, we put your child that plays an hour a week with children that play 3-4 hours a week they will lose confidence and as football is all about success they may not play again. I have seen this happen and am very strict on this issue as I never want to lose children this way.

How do the sessions work?

Children are placed in groups for training based on age as well as ability and experience. All children are assessed during their first few sessions and then placed in a class which best fits their playing ability. There is a maximum of 16 children per trainer.

As their skills advance and match competence improves, all students will have the chance to progress to a more advanced class.

What about tournaments & matches?

Competition is a valuable tool for developing football skills, team-building and social development. Winning is important for developing a child’s self-esteem, but losing is equally important in learning sportsmanship. Our focus is on a positive, spirited performance rather than the final score.

The first available matches/tournaments for players is at eight years of age or older, depending on ability. We will however organise friendly matches, where possible, for children under this age to allow them to test their skills and have some fun!

Please refer to the online calendar of events for match and tournament details.

Key skills taught include:

  • Ball mastery
  • Ball control and technique
  • Team work and support
